39Plus wants you to know that we are here for you when you need us. We have a range of programs that you can access when you are ready and in need. All carers experience times when just a small break or helping hand can mean a great deal.
Your role as a carer often mean you lack the time and attention needed to focus yourself, on the things that are important to you and to participate in everyday activities that ensure the wellbeing of the entire family.
"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world" Anon
Whether you are at the beginning of your carer journey or have many years of caring for someone, there are always changes happening that will at times impact on the way you care. Whether new to the role or an old hat, there will always be someone at 39Plus that has time for you and your needs.
We have designed a flexible support system to help you with both daily needs and flexible respite care. There is a lot to take in so have a look across our website and then reach out to us, we would love to talk!
The Carers Carousel is a network set up to provide you with practical and emotional support through participation in bi-monthly get -togethers facilitated by our trained and compassion staff. Share strategies and experiences with others in a similar situation while building a network available to support you in a time of need.
The program is based on an informal drop in and out system available for you when you need us. Share your successes and struggles over a coffee or a lunch date, join in on some of our carer pamper days or to gather information about what is available to you as a carer.
All members of the “Carer’s Carousel” will receive regular updates on meeting venues and proposed activities. For more information please contact our Assessment Team on (03) 5986 5255 or via email

We welcome you to come and have a look around, have a chat and a cuppa!
What does flexible, short term respite mean?
Flexible respite is just that, a flexible style of care. It can be provided in your home, in our well appointed cottages or in the community. It can be for a day, overnight or several nights and is designed to fit with your individual needs and circumstances. Contact us today to discuss options.
Our highly qualified, skilled and experienced direct care staff hold professional industry related tertiary qualifications. They are also trained and qualified in first aid certificate, dementia specific support and disability support and have been carefully screened to ensure you receive the high quality care you deserve.
In the present day, navigating the Aged Care and Disability service sectors can be complicated and sometimes overwhelming. Let us ease the burden in understanding by taking the time to work through your needs and options and find a tailored service solution that gives you exactly what you want.
